Dirk McCall began painting as a seaman in the US Navy; later
becoming SSPC certified in Marine Coatings in 2008 as an industrial
contractor. In five years as a painter in Denmark (pictured, Aarhus
2000) he learned the traditional and new European techniques of
coatings application. Dirk also studied one year at the Aarhus
Kunstakademi (fine art) and worked in an atelier in the Latin Quarter
living the ex-pat artists dream embedded in a foreign culture.
These experiences are still living in the colors painted now in
architecture and art in the San Francisco Bay Area.
